Greve in Chianti, Italy has the oldest ties with Sonoma, going back to informal relations in 1983. Greve is located among the rolling hills of Chianti Classico region of Italy, about 20 miles south of Florence. Known, of course, for its fine wines, the city is the center of the wine industry for the region and each year hosts a large festival (Vino Mostra) in its picturesque, historic plaza.
